This course aims to familiarize students with the effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace, and the problems associated with substance dependency. Additionally, this training will provide information that will help students be less susceptible and be better at recognizing, avoiding and preventing adverse consequences of drugs and alcohol use and abuse. Finally, the course will conclude with information on how to receive help should they or someone they know be affected by a drugs and/or alcohol dependency.
This is a course intended to increase awareness of the dangers of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. IT IS AN AWARENESS-LEVEL TRAINING ONLY and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the DEPARTMENT OF BUILDINGS SITE SAFETY TRAINING CARD.
