Safety Training Courses
We offer OSHA’s 30-hour training, which is suitable for workers and supervisors in different sectors of construction and others. Our 30-hour construction course promotes a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and prepares them to identify, predict, and avoid hazards in the workplace.

Construction Health & Safety | 30 Hours
The purpose of this course, is to promote a safety and health work environment for all employees, and to prepare them to identify, predict and avoid hazards in the workplace. This course also aims to provide workers with information of their rights under the OSH Act of 1970.
It fulfills training requirements for the SST Supervisor Card.

SST Prescribed Courses

Site Safety Plan (SSP) | 2 Hours | SST-301
This course introduces supervisors to the Site Safety plans and how they can be used to protect worker safety.
It fulfills training requirements for the SST Supervisor Card.

Drugs & Alcohol Awareness | 2 Hours | SST-302
The purpose of this course, aims to familiarizing students with the effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace and the problems associated with substance dependency.
It fulfills training requirements for the SST Worker and Supervisor Card.

Pre-Task Meetings | 2 Hours | SST-303
This course introduces workers to pre-task safety meetings, including why they’re important, how to plan and present them, and the role of the Competent Person in conducting them.
It fulfills training requirements for the SST Supervisor Card.

Tool box talks | 2 Hours | SST-304
This course teaches construction supervisors how to plan and conduct engaging tool box talks that promote the importance of workplace safety and training.
It fulfills training requirements for the SST Supervisor Card.

Fall Prevention | 8 Hours | SST-307
The purpose of this course, is to educate workers on how to avoid accidents while working on roofs, leading edges, ladders, scaffolds, and any surface from which a fall is possible.
It fulfills training requirements for the SST Worker and Supervisor Card.
SST General Elective Courses
The following courses have all been labeled as “General Electives” and they can be used to satisfy the requirements of various certifications, including the SST Worker and SST Supervisor cards.

Electrocution Prevention | 1 Hours | SST-102
This course raise awareness of electricity hazards at construction worksites and explain about key properties of electricity and safety procedures that protect workers from electrocution.
It fulfills training requirements for the SST Worker and Supervisor Card.

Stairways & Ladders | 1 Hours | SST-110
The purpose of this course is to Educate workers on hazards of stairways and ladders used in construction as a source of injuries and fatalities among construction workers.
It fulfills training requirements for the SST Worker and Supervisor Card.

Tools: Hand & Power | 1 Hours | SST-111
The purpose of this course is to instruct students on how to safely use a variety of construction tools and how to prevent injuries by properly selecting, using and maintaining tools.
It fulfills training requirements for the SST Worker and Supervisor Card.
SST Specialized Elective Courses
The following courses have all been labeled as “Specialized Electives” and they can be used to satisfy the requirements of various certifications, including the SST Worker and SST Supervisor cards:

Confined Space Entry | 1 Hours | SST-202
The purpose of this course is to teach the students the set of requirements for worker’s protection from confined spaces and the entry into confined spaces in a construction site.
It fulfills training requirements for the SST Worker and Supervisor Card.

Flag Person | 1 Hours | SST-208
This course will provide a thorough understanding of the proper signals and safe flagging techniques specific to New York regulations, flagging procedures and proper use of required equipment, and how to coordinate traffic movement through the work zone.
It fulfills training requirements for the SST Worker and Supervisor Card.

Welding & Cutting | 1 Hour | SST-215
This course explains how to recognize and avoid the safety risks of welding, cutting and brazing, equipment used for gas and arc welding and important processes, regulations and administrative safety requirements to follow.
It fulfills training requirements for the SST Worker and Supervisor Card.
Cranes & Derrick Courses
The following courses can all be used for a variety of certifications and the safe use and work on a Crane and/or Derrick.

Climber/Tower Crane Rigger | 30 Hours | CRA-105
This course is a Licensing requirement for all applicants for a NYC Climber/Tower Crane Rigger License. In this course, students will cover the basics of Cranes & Derricks.

Climber/Tower Crane Rigger Renewal | 8 Hours | CRA-203
This course is a renewal requirement for the holder of a NYC Climber/Tower Crane Rigger License. To renew this certification in NYC, all workers must successfully complete 8 hours of training as mandated by the 2014 Construction Code, Building Code Chapter 33.

Scaffold Courses
The following courses can be used as pre-requisites and required courses for a variety of certifications, including the SST Worker and SST Supervisor courses, amongst other courses:
These courses are all valid for a period of four (4) years and must be renewed within a month of expiration. If you missed the deadline, it’s okay, we will be by your side to get you back to code right away!

Supported Scaffold User & Refresher | 4 Hours | SCA-201
Explain the basics elements of supported scaffold safety and the role of the scaffold user in accident prevention, which includes scaffold inspections, fall protection, recognizing hazards, and responding to emergencies.
This course fulfills training requirements for the SST Supervisor Card.

Supported Scaffold Installer & Remover | 32 Hours | SCA-102
The Supported Scaffold Installation course will teach students the proper tecniques on how to install, remove and adjust supported scaffolds. Students will receive information on current OSHA policies and NYC DOB Building Code and Standards.

Supported Scaffold Installer & Remover Refresher | 8 Hours | SCA-202
Explain the basics elements of supported scaffold safety and the role of the scaffold user in accident prevention, which includes scaffold inspections, fall protection, recognizing hazards, and responding to emergencies.

National Safety Council

The following courses are offered by our training staff.

Work-Zone Flagger | 4 Hours
The primary objective of Workzone Flagger Training is to train flaggers to provide safe passage of traffic through and around work areas and to minimize confusion by bringing standard flagging procedures to our nation’s highways.

New York City Department of Buildings
As required by Local Law 196 of 2017, workers at job sites requiring a Construction Superintendent, Site Safety Coordinator, or Site Safety Manager must have a total of 40 hours of safety training.

SST WORKER
All workers for whom the 196 Local Law applies require 40 hours of training. Typical New York City workers will fulfill this requirement through the DOB prescribed course list:
SST-302 Drugs and Alcohol Awareness (2 Hours)
SST-307 Fall Prevention (8 Hours)
OSHA 30 Health and Safety in Construction (30 Hours)

SST supervisor
Local Law 196 Requires Supervisors at the job sites to which it applies to receive 62 hours of Site Safety Training (SST). This only includes Site Safety Managers, Site Safety Coordinators, Concrete Safety Mangers, Construction Superintendents and Competent Persons designated by construction Superintendents.
New York City workers will fulfill this requirement through the DOB prescribed course list:
The prescribed 40 hours above.
